Core Beer

    Refreshing and bright. A simple beer for all occasions. Full flavour with a thirst quenching low level bitterness and a crisp finish.

  • little pine hazy ipa

    There’s a place between heavy and light, north and south, east and west. Little Pine.

    A session hazy IPA that balances full juicy hop character with restrained abv.

    Named for Little Pine Lagoon, the little body of water at Tassie’s mid.

    3.5% abv
    IBU: 25
    Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Idaho 7, & Amarillo.

  • pale ale

    Unfiltered and uncomplicated. A seriously sessionable Australian style pale ale with local hops, subtle tropical fruit character and a crisp refreshing finish.

    Crafted for mates.

  • hobart lager

    Local lager, brewed for Tasmanian conditions. A refreshing and disarmingly simple beer, cold conditioned for a satisfyingly clean and crisp finish.

  • harbour master

    The Original. The Flagship. Unchanged since 2014. Tasmanian hops balanced by roasted malt. A contemporary beer informed by Tasmania's rich brewing history.

    Tasmanian Amber Ale.

  • skipper ipa

    IPA crafted to strike a balance of tropical fruit and pine. Brewed with a hops from near (Bushy Park) and far (US).

Limited Releases

  • colorado ipa

    The original HBC IPA. Colorado is an old school mountain style IPA with huge US hop additions and a robust bitterness that’ll strip the enamel from your teeth. Layer upon layer of toasted malt adds a subtle caramel base for the hops to spring from.

    Drink it's while it's fresh. Juliette approves.

    7% abv
    Hops: Chinook, Centinnial, Simcoe, Amarillo, & Idaho 7.
    IBU: Heaps.

  • tickled pink wc pilsner

    HBC X PINK BOOTS AUSTRALIA COLLAB

    A life reaffirming piney bitterness leading onto big bold tropicals from the Pinks Boots Hop blend. A portion of funds from this beer go to the Pink Boots Society to continue their mission of supporting women and non-binary people in the beverage industry through education and opportunity.

    Hops: Yakima Chief Pink Boots Blend (Eldorado, Idaho 7, Ahtanum & HBC 638)

    What do we want? A big ol’ West Coast.
    When do we want it? All the god damn time.

    An all American hop bill with a firm bitterness and a fun amount of dank on the back end.

  • of the valley - harvest saison

    To celebrate the 2024 harvest we decided to go old school and brew a traditional harvest beer.

    Of the Valley is a Saison featuring local hops, from HPA’s Bushy Park Estates, fresh off the bine. Awesome fresh and fruity yeast characteristic pairing beautifully with the green hop flavour.

    Hops: Fresh Hop Eclipse & Fresh Hop Ella.

  • is it cake? black forest stout

    It’s not (quite) cake

    An indulgent stout inspired by memories of black forest cakes. Layers of cream and cherry on a bedrock of choc roasted malt.

    Crafted to share. Or not….

    Hops: Ella
    Adjuncts: Cherry Puree, Lactose, & Chocolate Cake.

  • captain black dry irish stout

    Pouring in the taproom on Nitro. Found in the wild on CO2.

    Named for Captain Black, the last Hobart Harbour Master, this is a stout for the people. Tasty. Uncomplicated.

    4% abv (4.5% Whisky Barrel Aged)
    Hops: Chinook
    Malt: Black, Malted Oats & Ale.

  • devil next door - flemish red ale

    Our Flanders style Red Ale is an unapologetically bold beer, informed by tradition.

    Inoculated with Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus and barrel conditioned for 3 years in ex-Tasmanian Chardonnay American Oak Hogsheads.

    The result is a complex blend of roasted malt, integrated oak, and phenolic yeast character with devilishly high lip puckering acidity.
