FEES:
Venue hire is not confirmed until ‘hire fee’ is paid. The hirer acknowledges that the ‘hire fee’ does not include the following services, a) audio/visual equipment and assistance; b) catering; c) security; d) surplus furniture requirements and set-up/set-down labour costs; e) entertainment; or f) bar tab. Final payments owing after the function, including bar tabs, must be paid by card on the night of the function unless other payment arrangements are agreed to in writing prior to the event date.
CANCELLATIONS:
If the hirer cancels a booking less than 48 hours prior to the start time set for the use of the premises, 100% of the ‘hire fee’ shall be paid by the hirer to Hobart Brewing Company.
If the function can not be held due to changes in COVID-19 restrictions then 100% of the ‘hire fee’ will be refunded to the customer within 14 days.
BYO:
The hirer shall not bring or consume their own liquor within the premises. As a licensed premises, it is against the law to bring any alcohol in from external providers. Any person bringing external alcohol into the venue or the greater ‘Red Square’ area will be refused service and required to leave the premises.
CAKE AND CATERING:
The hirer is welcome to self-cater for their function provided food is prepared offsite. Storage of any food, including a celebration cake must be pre-approved by Hobart Brewing Company. Napkins, cutlery, serving plates and cutting of the cake are the responsibility of the hirer. Food trucks or third party food providers must be approved by Hobart Brewing Co before engagement.
HIRER RESPONSIBILITIES: The hirer is expected to conduct their function in a legal and respectable manner and is responsible for the conduct of their guests. The hirer covers Hobart Brewing Company against all losses, expenses, liabilities, claims and damages incurred as a result of any act or omission of the hirer or their guests. The venue is to be left clean and tidy with all rubbish placed in the bins provided and excess waste removed from site. Catering equipment such as trays and utensils are the responsibility of the hirer and must be removed from the venue. General cleaning costs are included in the room hire fee, but additional cleaning fees may be charged if the hirer has created cleaning requirements above and beyond what would be considered reasonable. The hirer is to ensure that smoking is not permitted inside the premises and occurs only in designated smoking areas.
MINORS:
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Any minor caught with alcohol will be asked to leave the premises. Any person supplying a minor with alcohol will be removed from the premises and is liable to prosecution under the Liquor Licensing Act.
EARLY ACCESS AND DECORATIONS:
Hobart Brewing Company will make early access to the room available one hour prior to the commencement of the function for any decorations and other setup. Hobart Brewing Company staff will not be responsible for the setup/packup of decorations. Nothing is to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to the venue without prior approval by Hobart Brewing Company. All decorations/goods must be collected the same day as the function unless otherwise agreed. Hobart Brewing Company takes no responsibility for lost or damaged goods. (Please No glitter, confetti or balloons)
ENTERTAINMENT:
No entertainment including live music or DJs is to be organised by the hirer for functions without the written consent of Hobart Brewing Co. External equipment including games is the responsibility of the hirer, and must be pre-approved by Hobart Brewing Company.
EXTENDED HOURS COSTS:
The hirer agrees to adhere to the nominated start and finish times for the function. Functions will not extend past the venue’s online advertised closing time unless agreed to by HBC in writing prior to the event.
REFUSAL OF ALCOHOL SERVICE AND REMOVAL OF GUESTS FROM THE PREMISES:
Hobart Brewing Company reserves the right to stop the service of alcohol and remove any guests from the premises. Hobart Brewing Company reserves the right to end the function and/or close the bar in the event that it is deemed necessary to avoid compromising our patron and staff safety, liquor license, and responsibilities under the Liquor Licensing Act.
ALTERATIONS TO PREMISES AND EQUIPMENT:
No setting up or dismantling of Hobart Brewing Company equipment shall be carried out by the hirer except in the presence of a member of the staff of Hobart Brewing Company. Excepting fair wear and tear, the hirer shall be liable to Hobart Brewing Company for any damage to premises or to any fittings, equipment, furniture or other property, which occurs during the period of hiring.
SECURITY:
If HBC management decide security is necessary to run an event security personnel will be hired at the expense of the hirer. The hirer will be invoiced before the function and must be paid in full prior to the event. The fee will be determined by the number of hours, people, and day that the function falls on.
COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS:
All visitors to Hobart Brewing Co are expected to comply with all current COVID-19 regulations and restrictions. Hobart Brewing Co reserves the right to change the terms of private functions as necessary in order to comply with COVID-19 regulations and keep our community safe.
